My Mom Comes to Help

We had our first Doctor's appointment when Elora was five days old.  She was awesome!  She already had gained back the weight she lost while in the hospital!!  And all her parts look good.  We really like the office we were at!

 My mom flew in Monday night.  Elora is five days old.  She was able to spend an entire week with us!  I couldn't have asked for anything better!  My mom runs a daycare and Elora is her 9th grandchild, so for her to just drop everything and stay a week with us was pretty amazing!  And for her to just spend one on one time with Elora, we feel pretty blessed!  Elora is one special girl in grandma's eyes!  While she was here she finished sewing her blessing/dedication gown, made her crib skirt, and went on walks around our neighborhood.  And of course spent time just relaxing; to include digging around in our garden! My mama loves to garden, so this was a treat for her!

We decided to drive my mom home, so we could visit my family!  But half way there Elora got sick and worried us enough to turn around.  :(  We left my mom in St. George and drove back to San Diego.  I was so bummed, but we both decided it was better to get her checked out.   Once we got home we took her to the hospital, they tested her for RSV, and she was negative.  They told us she just has a bad cold.  And we have to just wait it out...  We were so sad for her.  Poor little girl.  Only ten days old and already sick.
